Making Memories
There are instances in our life when we just want to halt time and exist in the moment for the remaining time of our life. Unluckily, no one has that ability. What we do have is the next best thing, the ability to capture moments through photos.
Nowadays, nearly every person in the planet owns a camera ranging from Digital Single Lens Reflex or DSLR to camera phones. Envision the huge amount of photos we collect in our life time. Sure, technological advancement makes it possible to store terabytes of memory but there is just something about the actual photographs that makes us nostalgic. So, why not make scrap books?
A lot of people would say that it is merely a waste of time or the point of making one would just get lost on them. They could not be more wrong. Aside from scrap booking being a fun and creative outlet, it will also mean a good deal to the next and succeeding generations. Think about it. Can you actually say that you know your grandparent and their stories? Imagine flipping a book and knowing about their fascinating stories during war, their romantic meeting, and other stuff plus the wonderful feeling that it gives you. Now imagine the future. Don’t you think that your children, grandchildren and nieces in the future would be equally fascinated about you as well? Aside from that, sharing your story through creating scrap books will do a lot to your life right now. Life moves swiftly and if we are not careful, we might miss it entirely. Making keepsakes will help you take time to stop and look around once in a while bringing to us a new sense of appreciation for life in general.
Making a keepsake is not complicated. You just have to organize the photographs, selecting the right materials, organizing space and sticking things.
First, pick your theme and organize the photos basing on that theme. Next, go to the store in the office and supplies section and select your paper and album. Many kinds of paper should be available so you won’t have a hard of a time picking the perfect materials. Ready made cut-outs are also usually available so this should make your scrap booking more convenient in terms of the styling and finishing touches.
When all that is done, you can now proceed to organizing your space and sticking the stuff on your album. A tip for sticking, many things do not stick with glue. When this happens, use 3m double sided tape. Using double sided tapes would be a better alternative because it also gives a neater output since you insert it between objects and not overlay them.
Double sided tapes also come in a variety of size and thickness. You may avail 3m double sided trim tape. Or if you want something more convenient, then the 3m double sided tissue tape is made for you.
Got all that? You are now ready.
